EXCLUSIVE DEVICES PLACED IN OR NEAR MAIL
BOX The Iowa Department of Public Safety is currently working with local
and federal law enforcement in the investigation of six explosive devices
that have been reported in or near mailboxes today. These six incidents
have occured in the following counties of Scott, Cedar, Dubuque, Jones and
Grundy. Corrently four people have been injured as a result of these incidents
. Investigaters from several Federal, State and County Agencies are currently
investigating these incidents with no further details available at this
time. Please exercise caution when opening your Mailbox. If anything appears
suspicious please do not open the package or mailbox. Any suspicious package
should be considered a potential threat. In the event you do encounter
any thing of a suspicious nature please contact your local law enforcement
agency and maintain safe distance from the mail box.
