| 在留邦人の皆様へ 既に報道等によりご存知の方も多いと思いますが、 西ナイル脳炎(WEST NILE VIRUS)について、注意喚起致します 。 １．米国疾病予防対策センター（ＣＤＣ）によりますと現在人間が感染した報告はALABAMA, D.C, FLORIDA, ILLINOIS, INDIANA, KENTUCY, LOUISIANA, MASSACHUSETTS MISSISSIPPI,MISSOURI, NYC, OHIO, TENNESSEE,TEXASの各州、都市でなされています。 また、鳥、馬、動物への感染はカンザスシティ総領事館管内全て（MO,KS,IA,NE,ND,SD)の州において報告されています。 ２．症状 症状は頭痛や体の痛みをともなう発熱があります。感染しても症状が見られない場合があります。症状が重い場合には高熱を発し、脳炎になる恐れがあります。脳炎が発生する可能性は感染者１５０人に１人程度です。高齢者や免疫が弱い人は重傷に至る危険性が高くなります。 特別な治療法やワクチンはありません。 ３．予防法 ウィルスに感染している蚊に刺されることによって感染するため、蚊に刺されないこ と、蚊の繁殖を防ぐことが大事です。外出時の虫除けスプレー 、長袖、長ズボンの着用、夜明けや夕暮れの外出を避ける、家の周りの水溜りをなくすなどが予防法です。 その他詳しい情報はＣＤＣ http://www.cdc.gov をご覧下さい。 |

According to CDC, human cases of west nile virus were reported from 14 states ALABAMA, D.C, FLORIDA, ILLINOIS,INDIANA, KENTUCY, LOUISIANA, MASSACHUSETTS,MISSISSIPPI,MISSOURI, NYC, OHIO, TENNESSEE, TEXAS and all states of IA ,NE, ND, SD, MO, KS are reporting confirmed west nile virus infection in birds, mosquitoes, animals. 2. symptom when infected 1) fever with headache, body-pain (there is some case without any symptom even if infected) 2) when the symptom get worse , It cause high fever and encephalitis(brain fever). the probability of causing encephalitis is about 1(person)/150(infected persons). 3)there is not a special treatment technique nor vaccine . 3.How to Prevent This virus 's vector is 'mosquito'. So It is important to prevent to be bitten by mosquitoes.For example, to use cedar-flavored spray when you go out,to wear long sleeves and long trousers, to avoid to go out in dawn and dusk(mosquitoes get active in dawn and dusk). 4.
